Therapeutic Approach & Modalities, Fees & Insurance
While traditional talk therapy focuses heavily on analyzing problems through conversation, somatic psychotherapy integrates the connection between the mind and body. In our sessions, we pay attention to how your body holds onto stress, past trauma, or emotional patterns. By combining talking with body-centered processes and awareness, we can access and help your system heal deeper, subconscious habits that intellectual understanding alone often misses.
Hakomi is an organic, mindfulness-based somatic psychotherapy centered on “assisted self-discovery”. In a state of gentle mindfulness, we safely explore the core beliefs, physical habits, past experiences, and/or traumas that shape how you experience the world. It is a deeply respectful, compassionate approach designed to help you step beyond old limitations and open up new possibilities for self-discovery, peace, joy and authentic expression in the here and now.
Both Brainspotting and Hypnotherapy are powerful modalities used to access the deeper, subconscious layers of the brain where trauma and emotional stress are stored. Brainspotting uses your visual field to locate “spots” in the brain that correlate with emotional triggers, allowing for deep neurobiological processing. Hypnotherapy utilizes gentle relaxation techniques to quiet the analytical mind, making it easier to reframe unwanted beliefs and behaviors, as well as discover memories from the past.
